Agretti in SIPs

We started the oddball agretti seeds back on March 9 and they sprouted on the 15th.

This week they started looking green enough to plant into a SIP.

The Amish snap peas from Seed Savers Exchange (planted in an Earthbox we were bequeathed) greeted on the roof.

Agretti has a tough stalk with a relatively small root system...or possibly that stalk is part of the root.

So here they are, and having been top-watered by a cold drenching inch of Chicago rain, we send a blessing their way and hope for some big bunches to eat soon.

Today I walked down to Bruce's to pick up still more of the cool-weather greens he started for us. Guess who loves his greens?

Carl got in a few nibbles before Bruce laid down the law

It's been a couple of weeks now. LOL I have been stopping the temptation to dig one up to see how it is doing!
